在月世界裡遺忘世界：田寮

TIANLIAO— A PLACE LEFT IN OBLIVION

位於大崗山東側的田寮區，四面環山，丘陵密佈，境內 80％的面積都是惡地形，二

仁溪流經此地，形成蜿蜒的曲流，耕地面積有限。儘管先天環境惡劣，但勤奮踏實
的田寮人，仍以各種方式求生存，闖出一片天：這裡的泥岩地質不利耕作，卻因含鎂、
鹽分高，可以栽種出甜度高的水果，或是放牧畜養土雞、山羊等，農民的用心，讓
這裡的農畜產都以好品質博得各界佳評，成為飯店大廚的食材首選。

田寮是臺灣罕見完全沒有任何一間超商、加油站、醫院診所甚或彩券行的行政區，甚
至一直到 2000年國道三號開通後，才有第一個紅綠燈。如果有一天，你想要找個地
方遠離世界，或許可以到田寮走走。這裡平靜得讓人感覺不到時間的流逝，置身孤

絕的月世界地貌和寂靜的水塘，彷彿就能遺忘全世界，這裡濃濃的人情味，更是其
他地方怎麼都比不上的珍貴。

Located to the east of Dagang Mountain, Tianliao is surrounded by mountains and covered with hills.
Eighty percent of the area is badlands. Even with the Erren River winding through it, there is a lack
of arable land. Despite the hostile environment, the hard-working locals manage to survive and excel
by all possible means. e soil of the mudstone formation, though unfavorable for farming, is high in
magnesium and salinity, so the fruit grown there is particularly sweet. e land there is also suitable for
raising livestock, such as pheasants and goats. Because of the hard work of the farmers, its agricultural
products are noted for high quality and are even selected by hotel chefs as top-choice ingredients.
Tianliao is the only district in Taiwan where there are no convenience stores, gas stations, hospitals,
clinics, or lottery shops. It was only in 2000 that the rst tra c light was installed. If one day you feel
like leaving the whole world behind, take a trip to Tianliao, a place so quiet and peaceful that you will
no longer feel time passing. e tranquil ponds and desolate landscape reminiscent of the moon’s
surface will keep you immersed in your own world. Despite the scenery of the area, nowhere can
compare with the warm hospitality of Tianliao’s people.
