LOCAL MARKETS IN ALIAN

每一個地方，都有菜市場，地方的生命力在此聚集交融，充滿著各種生
活所需，而菜市場的面貌，正是來自攤販們的百樣人生。阿蓮在地小吃
隱身在菜市場、廟口和巷弄街道間，沒有醒目的招牌，也沒有亮麗的店

面，但透過口耳相傳或媒體報導，每到假日，總是吸引許多遊客前來大
快朵頤一番，而許多出外的阿蓮人回到家鄉第一件事，就是到市場找尋
記憶中的好滋味。

Wherever you go, there is always a local market bustling with life. It not only provides
the local people with their daily necessities but also tells stories of the vendors’ lives.
e tasty food of Alian is hidden in its markets, around the temples, and in the alleyways.
ere are no eye-catching signs or glamorous storefronts. Rather, local food makes itself
famous throughout the island by word of mouth and media coverage. On weekends,
there are always crowds of tourists eating to their heart’s content. And whenever the
people who le Alian for work return to their hometown, the rst thing they do is go to
the market and remind themselves of how delicious the food really tastes.
