拷潭保福宮
Kaotan Bao Fu Temple

供奉保生大帝本名吳 ，又名大道
公，吳真人，為醫藥之神。此廟係道光21

年(西元1841)武生簡敬心所募建，光緒4年
(1878)簡逢春重修，後歷經改建而成今日樣
貌。此處並於民國43年附設「永芳國小拷

潭分班」，分擔當地的教育工作，廟埕中
曾有一株300多歲古榕樹，於民國66年因賽
洛瑪颱風而傾倒。

Wu Ben吳 , worshipper of the Emperor,
also known as Dadaogung or Wu Jien-Ren, is

the god of medicine. The temple was built in
1841 after receiving funding and renovated
in the spring of 1878. After a series of further
rebuilding, the result is the temple you see today.

In 1954, the temple added a “Yong Fang Little
Kaotan Division Class” to help out with the
local education work. There is an ancient, three
hundred year old banyan tree that fell after

Typhoon Thelma struck in 1977.
